JPEG/WebP up to 20 MiB per file; PNG up to 10 MiB with bounded text decompression. EXIF/TIFF, standard XMP, JPEG IPTC and PNG text are in scope. Extended XMP and MakerNote internals are not expanded. Samples are project-authored. Missing metadata does not establish privacy, provenance or image authenticity.
Supported files and output
JPEG, PNG and WebP metadata from two local files, up to 20 MiB each (10 MiB for PNG text scanning). Compare stable field IDs and repeated typed values independently of field order, retaining source locations and reading warnings. Download JSON for the full typed values or a spreadsheet-safe CSV. The comparison does not determine whether pixels changed or identify an image creator.
Read the result with its coverage
Stored fields can be edited, copied or removed. A successful read describes the selected file’s supported containers; missing fields cannot be recovered from its pixels. A damaged or unsupported container has its own result. Review private values before copying or sharing a report.
These file operations run locally. The separate image checker can send file-header data and a reduced image copy for a model reading. Read the method and limitations when that is the task you need.
