Inspect a batch and export per-file results
Choose up to 20 JPEG, PNG or WebP files. Read supported metadata one file at a time in your browser. A damaged or unsupported file gets its own error row while later files continue. Nothing is uploaded.
Maximum 100 MiB total and 20 MiB per image. PNG metadata inspection is limited to 10 MiB per file, 256 KiB per text field and 1 MiB total decoded text. Pixels are not decoded.
The original sample has a JPEG with fictional GPS, a PNG with duplicate author fields, a WebP with an invented creator and a deliberately damaged PNG. The JPEG and PNG share the neutral file name same-name.img; their actual containers and local IDs differ.
“Present” records a recognized container or field. “Unknown” means reading could not establish presence. “Not found” applies to supported checks only. Private MakerNotes, extended XMP contents and hidden information may remain outside coverage; no absence result establishes privacy or authenticity.
Use the single-image EXIF viewer for field values, or remove supported metadata from selected files and inspect the downloaded copies again.
Supported files and output
Up to 20 local JPEG/PNG/WebP files and 100 MiB total; sequential bounded reads with one stable ID and result per selected file. JPEG/WebP have a 20 MiB limit, PNG text a 10 MiB limit. Partial, failed and cancelled files stay in the report. Summaries omit names by default and do not contain metadata field values.
Read the result with its coverage
Stored fields can be edited, copied or removed. A successful read describes the selected file’s supported containers; missing fields cannot be recovered from its pixels. A damaged or unsupported container has its own result. Review private values before copying or sharing a report.
These file operations run locally. The separate image checker can send file-header data and a reduced image copy for a model reading. Read the method and limitations when that is the task you need.

- Photo metadata tasks: dates, orientation, thumbnails and batch handoffs — Choose a local workflow for photo dates, timezones, display orientation, embedded thumbnails, batch metadata reports and verified cleaning copies.
- Batch-check photo metadata and keep failed files visible — Inspect mixed JPEG, PNG and WebP files locally, distinguish same-name inputs with stable IDs, and export a per-file summary without raw metadata values.
- EXIF viewer and exports — Inspect the stored camera, location and caption fields.
- Remove selected metadata — Create a verified static-image copy with supported categories removed.
