Edit selected PNG text chunks locally
Read a static PNG, choose exact chunk IDs, stage additions/replacements/deletions and download a verified copy. Unchanged chunks are copied byte for byte. The tool does not execute workflows, upload the file or re-sign Content Credentials.
10 MiB per input/output PNG, 32 text fields, 256 KiB per field and 1 MiB decoded text. APNG, unknown critical chunks and invalid CRCs are rejected for writing. Browser acceptance: Chromium; Safari and Firefox have not yet been checked.
The original sample has duplicate Author fields, Unicode iTXt, a compressed zTXt comment, a private ancillary chunk and an unsigned synthetic credential store.
Supported files and output
Static PNG up to 10 MiB, 32 text fields, 256 KiB per field and 1 MiB decoded text. Add, replace or delete an exact chunk occurrence; Auto uses iTXt for Unicode. Unmodified chunks and IDAT bytes remain byte-identical, and the output is re-read with valid CRCs before download. APNG, unknown critical chunks and failed structural checks are refused. Stored workflow text is never executed, and existing credentials are not re-signed. Initial browser acceptance is limited to Chromium.
Read the result with its coverage
Stored fields can be edited, copied or removed. A successful read describes the selected file’s supported containers; missing fields cannot be recovered from its pixels. A damaged or unsupported container has its own result. Review private values before copying or sharing a report.
These file operations run locally. The separate image checker can send file-header data and a reduced image copy for a model reading. Read the method and limitations when that is the task you need.
